The Role
We are seeking a General Maintenance Assistant to join our Soft FM Services team at the Colchester Campus. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role supporting the maintenance, safety, and presentation of residential and academic buildings. You will assist with minor repairs, routine checks, basic maintenance, event preparation, and first-line response tasks to help keep our estate safe, functional, and welcoming.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate must be confident undertaking the physical aspects of the post, have good communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, and show a flexible approach to meeting operational needs.
The current working pattern is 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with an operational window of 05:30 – 22:00 Monday to Friday, and 05:30 – 13:45 Saturday and Sunday.
