Aout the job:

The postholder will be an active member of the research team assisting in the development and pre-clinical and industrial translation of hydrogel-forming microneedle-based drug delivery systems. To assist in the planning and delivery of this research activity so that the overall research objectives of the project are met.

About the preson:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

• Have a degree in Pharmacy and eligibility for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or General Pharmaceutical Council
• Have, or about to obtain*, a PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics/ engineering (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment)
• Experience of design and manufacture of hydrogel-forming microneedle delivery systems.
• Recent, relevant, experience in pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC.
• Recent relevant research experience.
• A record of publication in high quality, peer-reviewed, journals commensurate with experience.
• Knowledge of mass spectrometric detection as used in combination with HPLC Experience of formulation science is desirable.
• Experience of conducting in vivo animal experiments to evaluate dosage forms is desirable.
