About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Sport Management to undertake teaching and research and to contribute to the excellent working atmosphere in the Department of Sport Science. You will be a great communicator and team player. You will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects, and contribute to the employability potential of our students. At SL level, there will be an expectation to lead a Sport management Course at either UG or PGT level.

You will make a significant contribution to the Department’s learning and teaching and you should be active in either research, scholarship or practice. Ideally you will have (or be within ~3 months of completing) a PhD. You should have authored high quality publications and your area of study should have societal, sport performance or economic impact. The post-holder will be joining Sport and Exercise Scientists and Social Scientists in the Sport, Health and Performance Enhancement (SHAPE) Research Centre. High level mentoring is available for all staff.

The Department of Sport Science is based within the School of Science and Technology on NTU's Clifton Campus. The Department is also home to the Sport and Wellbeing Academy (SAWA), which provides undergraduate and postgraduate students with valuable real-world experience through clinical exercise referral services, performance support for NTU Sport and BUCS athletes, and community engagement initiatives, including coaching and Daily Mile programmes in local schools.

Significant recent investment has further enhanced the Department's facilities, research environment, and student experience. Our state-of-the-art resources include a dedicated sport management suite, a range of physiology laboratories, a performance analysis suite, two biomechanics and neuromuscular performance laboratories along with two sport psychology suites.
