Liaison Librarian (Veterinary and pre-clinical Medicine)

The role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive library professional to lead engagement with departments supporting the Pre-clinical Medical and Veterinary Medicine Tripos (MVST). This varied role combines teaching, collection management, and relationship-building to support learning, teaching, and research across the School of Biological Sciences (SBS)

As Liaison Librarian (MVST) you will

• Design and deliver training sessions in partnership with staff and colleagues across SBS and SBS Libraries Teams.
• Deliver library services across Biological Sciences Libraries.
• Lead on academic liaison with the designated Departments.
• Line manage a Senior Library Assistant.
• Contribute to shared team goals by collaborating effectively and fostering a supportive team culture.

What we are looking for

• Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Experience delivering teaching, training, or learning support both online and in-person.
• Knowledge of academic information resources and databases, with experience in developing user-focused STEM library collections and services.
• Innovative problem-solver with experience in teamwork and staff supervision.
• A customer-focused professional with a commitment to excellent service and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
