Background

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to join our team and contribute to the Generative AI in Radiography Education (GenAI-Rad) project. The project aims to investigate h ow artificial intelligence should be incorporated into radiography education. This post is part of a research project funded by the College of Radiographers Industrial Partnerships Scheme (CoRIPS).

Responsibilities

The post holder will work closely with the Principal Investigators and the wider research team to collect and analyse both quantitative (survey) and qualitative (focus group discussions and interviews) research data, and support the preparation and dissemination of study findings. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly in a hybrid or fully online environment, managing their own time and workload effectively to deliver project objectives within agreed timelines.

Person Specification

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in radiography and a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a radiography-related discipline. They should have sound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and their appl ication, with experience in analysing research data. Candidates should have experience of conducting research activities, including participant recruitment, consent processes, data management, and supporting research outputs. They must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within healthcare research settings. An understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles and their application within higher education and healthcare environments is also required.
