The Faculty of History wishes to recruit a part time Project Coordinator.  This role will be a fixed term, 0.6 FTE position for 50 months until 30 November 2030 and will support the day-to-day organization of Professor Regina Grafe's ERC AdvGrant project 'COFILA, Colonial credit and financial diversity in the Global South: Spanish America 1600-1820s'.

The Project Coordinator will co-ordinate the efficient running of the research project, create and maintain documents and the project website in the two project languages (English and Spanish),  assist Professor Grafe's supervision of academic staff and their research work, and the project's budget and logistics in order to ensure the smooth running and that the project successfully meets ERC standards of academic excellence.

This is a varied and challenging role and  we are looking for someone with administrative experience, who is fluent in Spanish oral and written language skills demonstrated by a Spanish language qualification or relevant practical experience.

You will be educated to degree level/Level 6 or with an equivalent level of practical experience. You will have an advanced knowledge of project coordination theories  and be experienced in using Microsoft 365. You will also have  excellent planning, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.  Alongside strong research, analysis and reporting skills and some experience working in the humanities; you will have an ability to keep, monitor and update data, create and maintain websites, and assist with the editing and publication of research as required.

In addition you will have the capacity for independent working and problem solving, as well as co-operative team-building skills. You will have a proactive and flexible approach and experience in an administrative/project role.

Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is desirable.
