The Disability & Wellbeing Service is recruiting an Alt-Format Assistant to support the reformatting of electronic reading materials for disabled students registered with the Digitisation Service. The Digitisation Service works with academic departments to make available class reading materials. The Alt-Format function of the Digitisation Service is managed by the Disability & Wellbeing Service and works to ensure that reading is made available in an accessible electronic format.
Your role is to reformat as required to make the document accessible for the student with reference to their individual print requirements. Employed on a guaranteed hour employee contract, you will report initially to the Head of Student Disability & Inclusion.
You will possess a relevant formal qualification and/or relevant work experience, be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. This post is primarily remote, with attendance at operational meetings and training sessions as required.
