About The Role
The University of Sunderland in London is seeking an enthusiastic and industry-engaged Associate Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of our innovative BSc (Hons) and MSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a modern curriculum that combines computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, cloud computing, machine learning and responsible digital innovation. Our programmes are delivered predominantly through face-to-face teaching in London and emphasise practical, project-based learning and authentic assessment.
You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate modules. You will facilitate lectures, workshops and laboratory sessions, support students’ academic development, assess coursework and contribute to an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Our Programmes
Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence programme takes students from foundational computing concepts to advanced AI applications. Students gain expertise in programming, algorithms, software engineering, databases, machine learning, deep learning, and cloud-based AI deployment, culminating in a substantial Capstone AI Innovation Project.
The MSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence develops advanced technical and professional capabilities through practice-oriented learning. Students build scalable software systems, develop intelligent AI solutions, work with cloud and big data technologies and complete an industry-relevant capstone project. All modules are assessed through coursework rather than traditional examinations, reflecting authentic professional practice.
