Imperial is seeking to appoint a dedicated Operations and Governance Manager to be responsible for CALT’s overall day-to-day administration and operational management. The scope of this role includes the establishment of clear administrative policies and processes to support the Director and leadership team in building the centre as a part of the education infrastructure at Imperial. You will play a key role in underpinning the activities of the centre, coordinating recruitment activities, managing the budget and coordinating governance activities. The post will involve a prominent level of interaction with staff of all levels within both the Academic and Professional Services Departments across the University.

What we are looking for

This role requires excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload effectively in order to meet given objectives working with a minimal level of supervision, adjusting priorities as necessary in response to changing circumstances or problems and demonstrating a flexible approach. You will also require strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to deliver on creating an organisation of c.25 FTE staff colleagues and 50+ embedded departmental champions from scratch. You will be expected to have experience of working in higher education, with an interest in AI as it relates to learning, teaching and the student experience and will, ideally, have experience of working in a project leadership role. This role is critical to establishing and managing CALT, and will hold a significant level of responsibility for the operations of the centre through its lifecycle.
