LASE University Group: one employer, two universities.
At LASE, you are part of something bigger – here we change lives and celebrate student-centred education without boundaries. We open doors, nurture potential, and tackle regional and global challenges together. As a member of the LASE team, you will work alongside talented colleagues, contribute to meaningful change, and benefit from opportunities to collaborate, develop, and grow across a unique higher education partnership.
Together, we are transforming lives, enabling confident graduates, advancing knowledge, supporting regional prosperity, and creating an environment where our people can do their best work. We are united by one ambition – to shape futures that matter.
The Director of Employability and Partnerships will be a key part of the professional services leadership, reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer. The role holder will be pivotal in providing strategic leadership across employability, employer engagement, partnerships, and apprenticeships, developing these areas in line with the organisation's long-term ambitions.
This role offers an exceptionally broad and influential portfolio, holding responsibility for enhancing graduate outcomes, developing strong regional, national, and international partnerships, and ensuring delivery of a high-quality, market-informed, and student-focused employability and apprenticeship offer. The role will play a key part in positioning the Group as a major civic, economic, and skills partner across the region, developing strategic relationships that support regional growth, workforce development, innovation, and social mobility across both the public and private sectors.
We are looking for a leader who will bring experience, insight, and new ideas but also understand the importance of collaboration and building strong relationships. You will be comfortable navigating complexity, making decisions, and turning ambition into meaningful outcomes. If you have the drive, commitment, professional credibility, and share our passion for higher education and its power to change lives for the better, we encourage you to apply.
Applications should consist of a CV and supporting statement which includes a brief overview of your experience with relevance to the person specification as well as an indication of the reasons for your interest in this opportunity.
