Should you join us, you will be employed by LASE but will work as part of the University of Greenwich academic division, contributing to its distinct strengths, community and identity while also being part of a wider group that brings together the scale, resilience and shared ambition of both universities.

Through LASE we aim to deliver outstanding education, impactful research, and meaningful regional and global impact.

The Natural Resources Institute (NRI) (www.nri.org) is an internationally renowned multi-disciplinary centre of the University of Greenwich leading research on sustainable development, food security, economic growth and poverty reduction in the UK and globally. NRI leads the UK Food Systems Centre for Doctoral Training (UKFS-CDT). The UKFS-CDT aims to train the next generation future leaders to transform the UK food system into one that supports the health of the nation and also protects our natural environment. The doctoral programme is currently in its third year of operation and has nearly 60 doctoral researchers who are undertaking their studies at one of nine consortium partners (University of Greenwich, University College London, Royal Veterinary College, Aberystwyth University, City University, University of Sussex, Brunel University London, NIAB East Malling and Rothamsted Research).

The purpose of the role is to manage the daily operation of the UKFS-CDT. This is a fourteen month maternity leave cover. It is available on internal secondment.
