Job description:
The University of Sheffield’s new MPharm degree opened in September 2025 and as our cohorts grow we are seeking additional team members to join us as we develop our discipline and our innovative curriculum.
In this role, you will specifically contribute to the development and delivery of our medicinal chemistry teaching, within the integrated MPharm. You will be a member of the curriculum design team, working with colleagues from all Pharmacy themes.
Applicants for this post should have experience of delivering medicinal chemistry teaching, through lectures, workshops and laboratories, and assessment, in a UK undergraduate setting.
Applicants should also show a commitment to developing their national and/or international profile in Pharmacy Education.
Whilst qualification as a UK or International Pharmacist is desirable it is not essential, a commitment to fresh thinking, flexibility and adaptability in approach are more essential to this role.
This post is offered as a Full Time equivalent role.
Based in the School of Allied Health Professions, Pharmacy, Nursing and Midwifery (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ahpnm), you will join a vibrant community of teachers and researchers building the discipline of Pharmacy
Applicants should provide a CV, a covering letter addressing the main role requirements and a summary of their teaching approach and philosophy.
For an informal discussion please contact Professor Susan Matthews (s.e.matthews@sheffield.ac.uk) or Professor Nick Turner (n.w.turner@sheffield.ac.uk)
