Job description:
The University of Sheffield’s new MPharm degree opened in September 2025 and as our cohorts grow we are seeking additional team members to join us as we develop our discipline and our innovative curriculum.
In this full-time role, you will specifically contribute to the development and delivery of our experiential learning content within the integrated MPharm. Our programme offers students a true experiential learning experience from Year 1 covering all sectors of practice and extending to incorporate the final year research project embedded in practice. This role will involve extensive stakeholder liaison though recruitment and training and the identification and design of mutually beneficial learning outcomes.
As a key member of the curriculum design team, you will work closely with the Head of Pharmacy Practice and colleagues from all Pharmacy themes. Alongside experiential learning you will also design, deliver and assess teaching in the Pharmacy Practice area.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working with trainees (Pharmacy students or Foundation Year Pharmacists) ideally in an education and training role as a practicing Pharmacist.
Additionally you should have experience of project work, working across and collaboratively with mixed membership teams, and delivery to standards. Experience of undergraduate teaching is not essential for this role and you will be supported by the team as you develop your teaching approach and in acquiring your FHEA qualification.
Based in the School of Allied Health Professions, Pharmacy, Nursing and Midwifery (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ahpnm), you will join a vibrant community of teachers and researchers building Pharmacy
Applicants should provide a CV and a covering letter that addresses all of the job description requirements including examples.
