About The Role

Learn Welsh – Swansea Bay Region (LWSBR) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of language tutors, helping to nurture and inspire the next generation of Welsh learners and new Welsh speakers.

The role of Associate Tutors is central to LWSBR’s efforts to meet the growing demand for Welsh-language classes across our region and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the Welsh language, enjoy working with people, and want to contribute to the growth and development of Welsh in the Swansea Bay Region and beyond.

As an Associate Tutor, you will deliver high-quality Welsh-language lessons, creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment. You will encourage learners to develop their confidence and language skills, using a range of methods and resources to make learning Welsh relevant, practical and enjoyable.

This is a flexible role, with work offered according to the needs of the provision and the tutor’s availability. The hourly-paid arrangement offers tutors the opportunity to combine the role with other commitments and to contribute to our work in a way that fits with their regular availability and circumstances.

You will work with learners from a range of backgrounds and at different levels of ability, while also collaborating with fellow tutors and the wider team. The ability to build positive relationships with learners, communicate effectively and create an engaging learning environment is essential.

We are looking for individuals with excellent Welsh-language skills, a commitment to professional development, and a flexible and positive approach. Experience in teaching or training would be an advantage, but equally important is a genuine enthusiasm for helping others to enjoy and use the Welsh language.

If you are ready to join our team and inspire more people to learn, use and enjoy Welsh, we would love to hear from you.
