Global Business Development

Global Business Development Directorate, part of University of London Worldwide (UoLW), leads on sustained growth through effective business development strategies based on close knowledge of markets and regulatory contexts, strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, the matching of a new and redeveloped portfolio of programmes with identified demand in target markets, Recognised Teaching Centre (RTC) monitoring and support, and close liaison with federation members and academic partners, including account and contract management.

The Directorate is responsible for the management of all RTC relationships and new commercial opportunities related to UoLW academic and service delivery to students and plays a key role in the management of the Teaching Centres Committee.

The Business Support Services Officer supports the Associate Director Recognised Teaching Centre Network and Senior Business Services Managers to ensure that potential and existing RTCs receive the best possible advice and support.

The postholder will

  • Support the development and uptake of the Teaching Centres portal to ensure it meets the requirement of RTCs.
  • Work with colleagues across UoLW to support and monitor the processes and systems for monitoring RTC performance
  • Take responsibility for the RTC pages on the UoL website and write and source content for the RTC newsletter.
  • Oversee and take responsibility for managing the Business Support Service shared inbox and handle RTC enquiries to an agreed protocol.
  • Devise and deliver information and activities that promote, enhance and engage prospective and current students via email and social media, showing relationship between UoL and RTCs
  • Maintain and develop relationships with the Student Voice Group, Student Representatives, and other groups to develop our knowledge of student needs and ways to enhance RTC engagement.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings
