About the Role

Informal Queries

Are you passionate about user-centred design and creating digital experiences that make a real difference?

Join the University of Warwick's Creative & Digital team and help shape the experience of one of the UK's leading university websites and digital platforms. Supporting audiences that include prospective students, current students, staff, researchers and members of the public, you'll contribute to digital services used by thousands of people every day.

Working alongside experienced UX, digital and content specialists, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across the full user experience lifecycle, from research and testing through to user journeys, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping. You'll lead smaller UX projects independently while contributing to larger strategic initiatives that influence the University's digital future.

This role offers a unique combination of professional development, meaningful impact and variety. You'll work with stakeholders from across the University, helping to champion accessibility, evidence-based design and user-centred thinking while delivering digital experiences that support Warwick's global reputation for excellence in education and research.

As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll be encouraged to bring new ideas, develop your expertise and play an important role in advancing the University's digital ambitions.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating accessible, user-centred digital experiences and is keen to develop their UX expertise within a collaborative digital team.

You'll bring experience of user experience design methods, user research and requirements gathering, with an understanding of how user insight can be translated into effective digital solutions. You have knowledge of contemporary UX principles and accessibility best practice, and you're comfortable using tools such as Figma to create wireframes, prototypes and user journeys.

You are an effective communicator who can build positive relationships with stakeholders, facilitate discussions and confidently explain design decisions based on user needs and evidence. You enjoy working collaboratively with designers, content specialists, developers and project stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

You'll be organised, able to manage your own workload and projects, and comfortable working across multiple priorities. Experience of HTML and CSS would be beneficial, particularly when working with development teams to implement and refine digital experiences.

Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic about advocating for users, continuously improving digital experiences and helping to embed user-centred design practices across the University.
