The Communications Executive is part of a college team delivering a shared UAL communications and engagement plan that achieves outcomes such as attracting students to study with us, embedding social purpose across the University and improving staff and student experience.

The role will be primarily focused on writing; using an understanding of the College environment in order to create content covering College and UAL-wide achievements, projects and news, as well as policies and procedures. The post holder will support the delivery of internal messages, ensuring messaging is consistent across all channels, but will identify opportunities for external stories which are created in collaboration with staff focusing on different audience groups.

This role is part of an integrated structure to enable an audience-first approach, with teams working together on projects to maximise the audience benefit and understanding of strategic messaging.

The post-holder will work on cross-UAL project groups to help deliver engaging and effective communications campaigns. The role will work closely with Staff and Student Communications and Engagement teams to support engagement activities in the College and to help ensure student and staff feedback informs communications planning.

About you
You are a skilled communicator with strong writing and storytelling abilities, able to create engaging and accessible content for a range of audiences. You enjoy working with people, building relationships across teams and identifying opportunities to share stories that inform, inspire and celebrate the work of the College.

You are organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment. With excellent attention to detail, you can adapt content for different channels and audiences while ensuring communications are clear, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities.

You are committed to inclusive and accessible communications and understand the value of audience insight in shaping effective content. Most importantly, you are a collaborative team player who is motivated by helping staff and students feel informed, connected and engaged.
