About us
The UCL Centre for Advanced Research Computing (ARC) is UCL’s institute for infrastructure and innovation in digital research. We are an innovative hybrid: a professional services department that delivers reliable and secure infrastructure and services to UCL research groups, and a laboratory for research and innovation.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated individual with an interest in AI infrastructure and a background in research computing, high-performance computing (HPC), or related technical environments. This role is focused on helping researchers effectively use AI and computational infrastructure, providing direct technical support and guidance to researchers. You will play a key role in maintaining reliable infrastructure, assisting users with technical issues, monitoring system performance, and contributing to the development of operational processes and service metrics.

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
As London’s Global University, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation, and we want our community to represent the diversity of the world’s talent. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where we all belong.
We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in UCL’s workforce.
These include people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds; disabled people; LGBTQI+ people; and for our Grade 9 and 10 roles, women.
We are committed to advancing gender equality within our department.
