We are seeking a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry to join our Chemistry team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Applicants should have a strong academic background in inorganic chemistry or a closely related discipline, with current knowledge of the practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry.

The University has invested significantly in new laboratory equipment for teaching and research in recent years. Our chemistry facilities have been further enhanced following the award of £5m from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) match-funded by the University, to create new facilities for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) provision, including an additional chemistry laboratory and a publicly accessible environment as a resource for nurturing enterprising, work-ready students.

We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.

The University currently enrols eligible academic staff into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), a defined-benefit pension scheme.

Further details on TPS can be found here.
