Senior Lecturer in Medical Education (Curriculum Lead)

UCC wishes to appoint an academic to the role of Senior Lecturer in Medical Education (Curriculum Lead). Reporting to the Head of the Medical Education Unit.

The Curriculum lead will be a member of the Medicine Programmes’ Leadership team, responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the generalist integrated case-led curriculum in the Medicine programmes. Working with the Programme lead, and leads for Assessment and Professional Development, the Curriculum lead will ensure that the curriculum is delivered as laid out in the Medicine programmes curriculum map. They will manage proposed adjustments to the curriculum to ensure that alignment with programme, year, module and weekly learning outcomes is maintained.

In accordance with the University’s strategic objective as a research-led institution, the duties of all academic staff will include research, research-led teaching and contributions to the university, the discipline and the community. The academic staff member shall teach and examine, undertake administrative duties and carry out other duties appropriate to the post under the general direction of the Head of the Medical Education Unit.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €85,597 - €121,283 (Scale B) / €82,662 - €115,218 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
