The University is undertaking an ambitious Finance Transformation Programme, delivering major improvements to financial systems, reporting, planning, and data management across the institution. We are seeking an experienced senior specialist with strong knowledge in financial reporting and systems to play a key role in shaping the future of financial reporting and financial data governance within the University including how financial consolidation, reporting, and subsidiary operations are designed, implemented and embedded across a diverse and complex group structure. 

The Role 

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the role works closely with the Finance Transformation Programme Board, Central and Research Accounting (CRA), Financial Planning and Performance (FPP), subsidiaries, and wider University stakeholders, acting as the subject matter expert and interface between the teams and working to resolve complex issues to meet reporting requirements. 

The Workstream Lead is a senior professional role responsible for leading two critical strands of the financial transformation programme: (1) deployment of the new financial system across subsidiary entities, and (2) implementation of Oracle Fusion Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS). The role is responsible for ensuring the system design meets the business requirements and ensure a successful delivery of the reporting requirements post go live for FY 2027. 

Your Skills 

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and experience of financial reporting, financial reporting systems, financial data management, and enterprise performance management solutions such as Oracle EPM FCCS or similar platforms. You will be comfortable working in a complex transformation environment, managing stakeholders, leading teams, and driving successful delivery across multiple workstreams.

Location:

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role. 

Funding for this post is available for 31 December 2028.
