Head of Student Support

- THE ROLE

This is a key post that will contribute to the ambitions of the Universitys Health and Wellbeing Strategy and the provision of holistic, proactive and trauma-informed student support services.

This directorate senior leadership roleis responsible forthe strategic development,leadershipand delivery of an integrated Student Support Service, contributing to student success, retention,wellbeingand inclusion. The postholder will lead multidisciplinary teams, embed proactive support models, and collaborate across the institution and with external partners to enhance the student experience.

The role will focus on the provision of high-quality, student-centered, support services operating at levels three and four of the national SevRes triage, including mental health advice, counselling, and learning support, including student success activities.

The Head of Student Support will seek to ensure provision of services which are aligned, frictionless and efficient, making best use of resources to support student progress, provide clear and accurate data, enable impact tracking, and are responsive to student needs.

The role will oversee the strategic development of support services, working with leaders at both the preventative and intervention levels to ensure a whole system approach to student support.
