Important Information: This is an in-person post based in Nottingham. It involves collaboration with other EPSRC-funded networks and international partners. The role requires regular travel across the UK and abroad to support workshops, co-creation activities, tutorials, Hackathons and national level events.

About TinyML UK

TinyML UK is a new national network funded by UKRI through EPSRC. It connects researchers, industry, engineers, AI specialists and government organisations working on decentralised, energy-efficient machine learning for small and low-power devices. The Network supports collaboration, training, events and real-world impact across health, sustainability and security, while contributing to a UK roadmap for TinyML research and skills.

The Network is led by Professor Eiman Kanjo at Nottingham Trent University, with co-leads Professor Geoff Merrett at the University of Southampton and Professor Pantelis Georgiou at Imperial College London.

Role overview

We are seeking a proactive and service-focused Network Coordinator to provide reliable operational, administrative and project support to the Network Lead and leadership team. The postholder will help deliver agreed priorities and activities, using initiative to complete assigned work, identify issues and propose improvements within the Network’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Network’s day-to-day administration and operations.
  • Support large and small events, workshops, training, competitions, meetings and outreach activities.
  • The opportunity to lead activities.
  • Maintain project plans, records, reports, budgets and stakeholder communications.
  • Liaise with academic, industry, government and international partners.
  • Support funding bids, partnerships, laboratories and related academic or institutional initiatives.
  • Provide responsive support to the Network Lead, leadership team and wider consortium.
  • Learn new skills and use AI and digital tools to improve project delivery.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role’s purpose and grade as priorities develop.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term post, with the possibility of extension subject to continued funding, performance and operational requirements. Regular workplace attendance and occasional UK or international travel may be required.
