We are the University of Cumbria, a place where people are at the heart of all we do, where enriching the lives of our students, colleagues and the communities we serve means we make a difference that really matters.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
Are you an experienced student records professional with a passion for data quality, effective processes and delivering an excellent student experience?
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Student Data Manager to join our Academic Registry. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the management of student and programme records, support the effective use of our Student Record System, SITS, and help shape efficient, customer-focused services for students and staff.
Reporting to the Head of Student Systems and Data, you will lead the operational set-up and maintenance of core programme and student-related records in SITS. You will help ensure that student data is accurate, timely and suitable for internal use, management information and statutory reporting.
You will manage the delivery of key university-wide student record processes and coordinate regular reviews to ensure that our systems and ways of working remain effective and fit for purpose. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, you will help ensure that student record processes, communications and related downstream systems operate smoothly.
The role also includes responsibility for managing and developing Student Data Management Administrators. You will contribute to the wider leadership of the Student Systems and Data team by setting priorities, organising workloads, agreeing objectives, undertaking performance and development reviews, and supporting colleagues to achieve high standards.
