Hours: Full Time

CCI - High Holborn, London UK

University of the Arts London (UAL) is ranked number two in the world for Art and Design and is home to an extraordinary community of artists, designers, thinkers and innovators. We are now developing an ambitious new fundraising programme, creating an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to help grow our major and principal giving activity and contribute to a significant University-wide fundraising campaign.

You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects, building relationships and developing opportunities for significant philanthropic support. You will be responsible for securing high-value gifts while helping to develop relationships that could lead to larger principal gifts over time.

You will also support the delivery of a major fundraising campaign, working with colleagues across UAL to identify funding opportunities, develop proposals and cases for support, and provide donors with a high-quality experience. The role will involve working closely with senior University leaders, academic colleagues and teams across Development and Alumni Relations.

About you

You will have experience of managing relationships with donors, clients or other senior stakeholders and a track record of securing significant gifts or income.

You will be confident building relationships, developing individual engagement strategies and producing high-quality proposals and communications. You will also need strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different levels.

Experience of working on a fundraising campaign or within education, the cultural sector or a charitable organisation would be an advantage.

If you want to play an important role in developing UAL’s fundraising activity and help secure support for the University’s future priorities we would be delighted to hear from you.
