About us
Building on the success of its Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 submission, which saw King’s College London ranked 3rd on impact amongst multi-faculty universities, we are recruiting a REF Impact Officer to support the development of the Engagement and Impact submission to REF2029. The post-holder will be based in the REF, KEF & Research Impact Team, within King’s Research Management & Innovation Directorate and will work closely with colleagues in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
About the role
The successful candidate will work with the three REF Impact Officers already in post (who support Main Panels A, B and C) and with the Research Impact Lead team. They will support the units of assessments aligned with REF Main Panel D (Arts & Humanities).
They will provide professional services support for all aspects of the development and delivery of the Engagement and Impact submission. Excellent administration is central to the role, combining project coordination, information management, analysis, evaluation, communication and effective stakeholder engagement. This includes supporting the processes for identifying and preparing impact case studies and collating evidence of impact. The Officer will maintain internal resources for impact (including internal communication channels) and will provide support as required to impact-related groups and events, including arranging and attending meetings and maintaining accurate records.
This is a full-time post, and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of two days a week on campus, including co-location with the faculty’s Professional Services team at Bush House. Additional attendance on campus will be as and when required, according to business need.
