This is an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Admissions team, part of the Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Communications (MARC) Directorate. We are a collaborative and forward-thinking team dedicated to ensuring efficient, compliant, and applicant-focused admissions operations across all recruitment cycles. You will lead our specialist Admissions Operations and Delivery team, working closely with academic schools, recruitment, marketing, and technical teams to enhance the applicant journey.
The team supports the configuration, optimization, and continuous enhancement of admissions systems and operational processes across undergraduate, postgraduate, collaborative, and modular provision.
As Admissions Operations and Delivery Manager, you will provide operational leadership for the University’s admissions systems (UCAS, DfE and Direct), data processes, and applicant workflow management. You will lead a specialist team responsible for ensuring rigorous data quality, automating processes, interview management and managing external listings. You will bring specialist expertise in higher education admissions administration, and operational problem-solving.
We are looking for an operationally minded, systems savvy professional who can demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and contribute to the wider directorate while managing specialist technical workflows independently. You will already hold significant administrative experience from a Higher Education environment, with a strong background in student records or admissions systems. A meticulous level of attention to detail and the analytical ability to troubleshoot data or system errors are vital for this role, as is the capability to identify priorities and manage a varied project workload against competing recruitment deadlines. Likewise, you will have excellent communication skills to translate complex data clearly and build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
If you are interested in leading a fast-paced, continuous-improvement function that shapes the applicant journey within the Higher Education sector, we would recommend you apply.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is flexible and connected (Professional Services) - Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
(Please note: Leave may be restricted during peak business-critical periods, particularly during August and September to support Confirmation and Clearing activities).
