Part-time CMBE Community Manager

Chartered Association of Business Schools

Location: Fully remote
Salary: £38,000–£41,000 per annum pro rata at 2 days per week
Contract: Part-time, 2 days per week, fixed-term until 30 June 2027

About the role

The Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) is a professional development scheme supporting academics and business schools to strengthen their practice through continuous professional development.

We are looking for a proactive, innovative and highly organised Community Manager to help develop a vibrant, inclusive and increasingly member-led CMBE community.

Working with the CMBE Scheme Manager and wider Chartered ABS team, you will help subscribers connect, share practice and access relevant CPD opportunities. You will also support institutional subscribers to increase participation, demonstrate the value of CMBE and connect with other institutional leads.

This is a highly autonomous role offering the opportunity to shape new initiatives, build relationships and make a tangible impact on a growing professional community.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with:

  • An understanding of CPD in a business or professional context.
  • Knowledge of how universities and/or business schools operate.
  • Experience working autonomously and delivering to deadlines.
  • Experience planning and delivering online events or webinars.
  • Experience producing clear and accurate reports from multiple data sources.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-management skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in building professional communities.
  • Experience of working with academics, business schools or professional development programmes would be advantageous.
