Job Synopsis
The Senior Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for leading and managing complex employee relations matters, providing expert guidance to managers and employees across a wide range of employee relations mattes. The role holder ensures that issues are managed fairly, consistently, and in compliance with employment law, university policy, and best practice. This role combines operational ER expertise with strategic influence, ensuring fair, consistent, and people-centred outcomes while embedding inclusive, supportive, and respectful workplace practices across the University.
This role contributes at a high level to the design and implementation of employee relations policies, procedures, programmes and initiatives to meet the organisational needs of the University, in line with strategic priorities that promote positive working relationships, employee engagement, wellbeing and organisational culture.
