The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences invites applications for several part-time Graduate Teaching Assistant positions. Posts are typically offered at 0.1 FTE or 0.2 FTE, with multiple appointments available.
You will mark assessments and provide feedback and, depending on your allocation and training, may support classes, practical sessions or invigilation. Module convenors will set task instructions and deadlines. Your PhD supervisor will support the balance with doctoral study; a GTA line manager or mentor will oversee your employment; and the School’s postgraduate research and teaching leads will provide guidance. Mandatory training is required. Contract details will include the hours, duration and salary. You must have already started or start your PhD on the day of the role start date and remain a registered doctoral student for the period required.
Part-time, fixed-term contract: 0.1FTE: 160 hrs per year, up to 20 hrs per week; 0.2FTE: 320 hrs per year, up to 20 hrs per week. Contract up to 3 years.
Support student learning through marking, feedback and allocated teaching duties.
