Lecturer (Teaching) in Physiotherapy

Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £39,324 up to £44,710 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated physiotherapy team as a Lecturer (Teaching). We deliver established pre-registration physiotherapy programmes across multiple campuses, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, direct-entry, and apprenticeship routes into the profession. Our focus is on developing reflective, compassionate, and highly skilled physiotherapists while driving excellence, innovation, and leadership in physiotherapy education and training.

You will deliver teaching and course coordination, helping to develop innovative academic practice and learning opportunities in collaboration with external partners. As part of the course team, you will support the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional, and apprenticeship programmes, ensuring an excellent learner experience.

Based within the Physiotherapy team, you will work with colleagues across CUHC to enhance learning and teaching, embedding research, enterprise, and professional practice throughout modules and programmes.

Qualifications Required

Essential

• Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• Current registration with the HCPC as Physiotherapist
• A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one
• Experience of delivering physiotherapy education (professional/university/apprenticeship)

Our Successful Candidate

You will bring substantial clinical experience and specialist expertise in neuro physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation or cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, enabling you to deliver high‑quality teaching and mentorship.

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching and learning at higher education levels 4-7 in Physiotherapy either in higher education or within a clinical environment. 

You can demonstrate high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning
