Disability Advisor

About the role

To advise and support disabled students at Imperial, referring to and liaising with internal and external agencies as required. To prepare and issue Suggested Reasonable Adjustments Documents. To conduct screenings for autism. To advise departments (academic and non-academic) on appropriate adjustments.

What you would be doing

You will join an established team of disability advisors in providing confidential and impartial advice to Imperial students.  

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates with substantial experience and a proven track record of giving advice and facilitating support for disabled people - preferably within a Higher Education setting.

You must be educated to degree level, with evidence of relevant continuing professional development in the field of disability. You must possess excellent IT skills, a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and experience of maintaining accurate, confidential client case notes, as well as an understanding of the Equality Act and Data Protection legislation.
