Clinical Teaching Fellow in Paediatric Dentistry

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for your development as a clinical teaching fellow in Paediatric Dentistry. With a dental qualification, full GDC registration and relevant foundation/general professional training or equivalent you must be capable of contributing across the broad range of paediatric dentistry undergraduate dental education. You will contribute to maintaining the high quality of clinical education of undergraduate students principally at the outreach centre in Stratford and may also be asked to supervise at our main Whitechapel site or our other outreach clinics in Barkantine and Hackney. Responsibilities will include clinical supervision of students, and admin duties related to the provision of patient care and student education. 

About You

You must hold a BDS or equivalent registerable dental qualification and be fully registered with the General Dental Council. Significant post-graduate clinical experience is required, including general professional training and work in Paediatric Dentistry. Strong communication skills, experience supporting undergraduate teaching, and an understanding of student support needs are essential, along with good IT skills and the ability to work well in a team. Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level and engagement in dental education scholarship are desirable but not essential.
