About the Role:
We are seeking a Lecturer in Engineering Mathematics to support the delivery and development of high-quality mathematics teaching across our Level 4 and Level 5 Engineering programmes. The successful applicant will provide targeted academic support to help students build confidence, strengthen mathematical understanding, and succeed in their studies. Working closely with Course Leaders, Module Leaders, and wider academic teams, the post holder will contribute to embedded mathematics provision, module delivery, assessment, feedback, diagnostics, curriculum enhancement, and support for students identified as mathematically at risk. The role will also contribute to consistent delivery across our UK provision and international partner locations, including joint institutes and transnational education partnerships.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, student-centred academic who can make Engineering Mathematics accessible, relevant, and engaging for students with a wide range of prior mathematical experience. The successful applicant will be able to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and apply them within Engineering contexts, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Biomedical Engineering. They will be inclusive, adaptable, and confident working with neurodiverse students, international students, mature learners, apprentices, and students from different educational and socio-economic backgrounds. The role requires strong communication, collaboration, organisation, and problem-solving skills, together with a commitment to improving student progression, retention, attainment, and overall student experience.
