University Teacher in Urban Studies and International Development

Overview

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher to support the School of Geography and Planning in delivering its undergraduate and postgraduate Planning and International Development programmes. The appointment is a fixed-term maternity cover post designed to maintain teaching, module leadership, and student support provision during the absence of the permanent post-holder. You will be a creative and inspirational teacher, with teaching experience, and an ability to lead, develop and deliver teaching for a diverse cohort of students. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with expertise in international/ sustainable development and urban studies.

This role is an ideal opportunity for a scholar with teaching ability to join one of the leading Geography and Planning Schools in the United Kingdom. You will be a creative and inspirational teacher, with teaching experience and a PhD in related subject area (or be close to completion).

You will contribute to the coordination, development and delivery of teaching for a diverse cohort of students, including the supervision of student projects, acting as an academic tutor and delivering a range of classes from workshops to lectures, as well as carrying out marking duties within the School.

You will join a dynamic team of Academic Staff in the School and will work collaboratively with Academic and Professional Service colleagues to deliver excellent teaching.
