Professionalism Facilitator

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Professionalism Facilitator to join our committed MBBS teaching team. The postholder will contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of professionalism in medical education within the MBBS and Physician Associate programmes. Responsibilities will include facilitating small-group teaching, assessing and managing professionalism concerns, and participating in professionalism monitoring and sanctions processes across multiple years of the MBBS programme. This post is offered at one day per week.

About you:

Substantial and current experience of working as a medical practitioner within a clinical setting and experience of teaching undergraduate medical students is essential. You must be fully registered with the General Medical Council.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. The postholder will be predominantly based at our Preston campus site with possible occasional components at Burnley and Westlakes campus.

As this is a clinical teaching post, the postholder must maintain an element of clinical practice whilst in post. The maximum acceptable period out of practice will be 2 years.
