Project Officer (CRM Future Project)

The Planning, Performance and Strategic Change Department brings together strategy, planning, insights and delivery in an integrated way, optimising investments and resources, enabling the University to implement our strategy, driving impact and performance.  

How we do this is just as important as what we do and we work to three key principles: collaboration, clarity and capability.  

As a Project Officer within the Strategic Projects Office, you'll play a key role in delivering the University's ambitious CRM Future Project, a major digital initiative that will improve how we manage relationships and interactions throughout the student journey, from initial enquiry through to graduation and beyond.

The CRM Future Project forms part of the University's wider strategic digital foundations agenda, creating a modern, sustainable and integrated CRM solution that will improve experiences for prospective students, current students, alumni and external partners. 

The project will also enhance the University's engagement with external organisations and partners through improved relationship management capabilities.  

Working alongside the Project Manager, Project Team and a wide range of stakeholders, you'll help coordinate the successful implementation of a new CRM platform, supporting multiple workstreams and contributing to one of the University's most significant strategic change projects.  

You will 

• Coordinate project activities and support the delivery of multiple project workstreams across the University.  
• Maintain key project documentation including project plans, risk registers, action logs and status reports.  
• Work collaboratively with academic, professional services and digital colleagues to help deliver project milestones and outcomes.  
• Support stakeholder engagement, communications, workshops and events to ensure colleagues are informed and involved throughout the project lifecycle.  
• Analyse information, identify issues and risks, and help develop recommendations to support decision-making.  
• Provide high-quality reporting and governance support to the Project Board and other senior stakeholders.  
• Contribute to the successful delivery of a strategic digital transformation programme that will benefit students, staff and external partners.  

Our ideal candidate will have: 

• Experience supporting or coordinating projects within a complex organisation.  
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.  
• Strong drive and determination, with the ability to respond in an agile and positive way to change. 
• Experience preparing project documentation, reports, briefings or presentations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.  
• The ability to analyse information, solve problems and support informed decision-making.  
• Experience of digital transformation projects and, ideally, an understanding of CRM systems or similar enterprise-wide technologies.  
• A proactive approach, a willingness to learn and the resilience to work effectively in a fast-paced change environment.  

This is a fixed-term role for a period of 12 months.
