SoH is developing a new Institute for AI Ethics in collaboration with the College of Computing and Data Science, and the successful candidate could be appointed co-director of this Institute and could be cross-appointed with the College of Computing and Data Science.

The NTU Philosophy Department offers a Major and Minor in Philosophy. It is a postgraduate degree programme, with both MA and PhD students, and our degree programmes have a strong record of job placement. NTU philosophy faculty have particular strengths in ethics, Asian and comparative philosophy, and philosophy of science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Philosophy and for the MA in AI Ethics and Society. The candidate will supervise postgraduate research and contribute actively to mentoring students working in Philosophy and interdisciplinary research, especially relating to ethical, societal, and governance dimensions of AI. The successful candidate may be appointed Director of the MA in AI Ethics and Society.
