Marjon’s Journalism programmes are innovative and forward-thinking, and we are looking for a new member of our teaching team to help us continue to develop our reputation for excellence in journalism and media education.
Our revalidated provision is delivered through a single programme framework with two distinct pathways: BA (Hons) Journalism and Media and BA (Hons) Sports Media. Both pathways combine a shared foundation in journalism, research, storytelling, digital production and professional practice with opportunities for specialist development. Journalism and Media focuses on contemporary journalism and multi-platform content creation, while Sports Media develops expertise in sports reporting, live production, sports analysis, marketing and communications.
The successful candidate will bring substantial industry knowledge and professional experience across journalism, media or a related discipline, alongside experience of undergraduate teaching and curriculum development.

We foster a collaborative environment for research, scholarly activity and knowledge exchange, alongside opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development. We welcome applicants who can bring complementary expertise, fresh ideas and a commitment to inclusive, practice-informed journalism education.
