This is an exciting time to join the Research Office. Sitting at the heart of the University's research mission, we are continuing to develop how we work and how we deliver our services, with an ambitious programme of change and improvement ahead of us.
We are looking for an experienced Projects Manager to help turn those ambitions into reality.
You will lead a varied portfolio of strategic projects across the Research Office, taking projects from initial scoping and planning through to delivery and implementation. Working closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts and operational teams, you will bring structure and momentum to complex initiatives, coordinate people and resources, manage risks and dependencies, and keep delivery on track.
This is a role for someone who enjoys making things happen. You will be comfortable working across organisational boundaries, bringing together colleagues with different perspectives and priorities, and finding practical ways forward when the answer is not always straightforward. You will also work closely with the Transforming Research Support Programme, making sure that projects align with and contribute to wider organisational change.
We are looking for someone with significant project management experience, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be able to manage competing priorities, navigate complexity and translate plans into tangible results.
You do not need to be an expert in research administration. What matters is that you are curious, collaborative and pragmatic, with strong project management judgement and a genuine commitment to improving how services work.
If you are excited by the opportunity to lead meaningful change in a complex organisation and want your work to contribute to an environment that enables research to change lives, we would love to hear from you
