We welcome applications from experienced compliance and risk professionals who are passionate about working collaboratively to strengthen regulatory compliance, manage risk and support a culture of assurance across a complex university environment.
About the Role
As Senior Compliance & Risk Manager, you will support the University in managing and improving its approach to compliance and risk, with responsibility for areas including national security, export controls and international regulatory requirements. You will provide specialist advice, support the development and review of policies and processes, work with colleagues across the University to identify and manage risks, and help ensure the University meets its legal and regulatory obligations. You will also contribute to reporting, assurance, training and the development of a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness.
About You
You will have substantial experience in compliance and risk management, with the ability to provide clear advice and work effectively with senior colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders. You will have strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, with experience in areas such as export controls, national security and other complex regulatory environments. You will be highly organised, analytical and able to manage competing priorities, with excellent communication and influencing skills and experience of developing and delivering training and guidance. Experience within a university, research or defence and security environment would be an advantage.
