Job Description:
The Planning and Performance team is seeking a Senior Planning and Performance Officer to join the Data and Statutory Reporting Team. The post holder will support the production of statutory reports, including the student HESA return and Medr returns. They will work across the department and University to develop and improve processes to improve the production of returns. The successful candidate will have a curious nature, a passion for data, strong numerical skills, experience of working with stakeholders/external agencies and a love of solving problems.
The post will be based in the Planning and Performance directorate at the University of South Wales. The primary function of the team is to:
1) support the implementation of the University's strategy and plans, including leading the progress review and impact of the delivery;
2) oversee and develop the annual planning process and support planning in Faculties and Professional Services;
3) provide timely and accurate returns for external agencies including Medr and HESA, which underpin the University’s funding and performance information;
4) analyse and publish management information to inform the University's decision making;
5) oversee the operational delivery of key external and internal student satisfaction surveys
6) create regular briefings for senior management and the Board of Governors on University performance.
Based at Pontypridd, with some home working, this role will provide you with a role where you can utilise your range of organisational, interpersonal and research skills to support the senior management team of the University.
