About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team led by Prof. Sarah Garfinkel and Prof. Camilla Nord (University of Cambridge). We are recruiting a research assistant to contribute to the running of a clinical trial. The post-holder will be responsible for conducting behavioural, interoceptive and emotion-based tasks and will contribute to the recruitment, tracking and retention of participants undergoing a mindfulness- and decentring-based intervention for depression and anxiety. This work aims to understand the interoceptive mechanisms that help us perceive, understand and regulate our emotions.
About you
We are looking for an RA with a background in psychology and/or cognitive neuroscience, with experience in behavioural and psychophysiological testing and in clinical research and/or working on a clinical trial. Ability to code (python/R) and experience working with individuals with mental health conditions (anxiety/depression). Someone who enjoys teamwork, highly organised, self-directed, interested in the biological basis of emotion. Valid right to work in the UK covering at least one year (we are unable to sponsor a visa for this post).
