About The Role
This part-time 0.4 FTE post, funded by UKRI, is available immediately and will run until 28/09/2029. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

Salary will start from £30,878 per annum, pro rata, on Grade D subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. The campus can be either Cornwall or Devon based.

The Net+ Centre is a 5-year investment from UKRI into maximising the co-benefit solutions for environment, society and health associated with climate change adaptation and mitigation. Find out more about the Centre here: https://netpositivecentre.com/ The Centre started in September 2024 and will run until September 2029.

You will be responsible for supporting the project management team and ensuring the smooth running of the project. Amongst your responsibilities, you will be the first point of contact for enquiries, as well as being responsible for organising meetings (in person & hybrid), producing agendas and taking minutes, assisting with event organisation, setting up purchase orders and processing invoices, and drafting contracts. You will support a diverse range of tasks and, as such, you must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload. You will also be required to work independently and be pro-active and flexible. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good communication skills.

Research Division
The Research Division is a key enabler to the delivery of the University's Strategy 2030, the Research and Impact Strategy, successful REF performances, and generating external research income, by:

  • Supporting the full research project lifecycle from inception to impact.
  • Offering research infrastructure support.
  • Providing leadership for the Exeter Doctoral College.
  • Delivering joint strategic, policy and planning support to the University and Faculties.

The division consists of four service groups: Doctoral College; Research Services; Research Software and Analytics; and Technical Strategy and Operations.

The Research Services Group provides a range of services: research strategy development and delivery through the Research Strategy team and our University Research Institute teams; faculty relationship management through our Faculty Partners; research development & management support and financial management through our Research Funder Clusters; Research and Impact performance and REF planning; Finance, systems and data support; Research ethics, governance and compliance.
