About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative programme between the University of Oxford and King’s College London, bringing together expertise across institutions to advance autism research and clinical trial readiness. The programme delivers large-scale clinical trials and longitudinal natural history studies incorporating deep phenotyping, translational genetics, advanced neuroimaging, and wearable technologies to inform therapeutic development.
The Postdoctoral Research Psychologist, based within the Department of Paediatrics, will play a key role in administering behavioural and psychological assessments for the programme. The postholder will be responsible for coordinating and conducting neuropsychological and behavioural assessments in accordance with study protocols, ensuring the consistent and high-quality collection of research data. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of research studies, support the preparation of grant applications, and assist in the development of procedures for standardised assessments and other neuropsychological aspects of study delivery.
You will be based within the Department of Paediatrics in the University of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Division, a world-leading centre for child health research with internationally recognised programmes, including neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology. The postholder will work closely with Professor Laurent Servais (John Radcliffe Hospital), and Professor Stephan Sanders (Institute of Developmental & Regenerative Medicine), collaborating across translational and clinical research teams.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract for an initial period of five years or until 31/06/2032, whichever is earliest.
This role meets the criteria for a UK Global Talent Academic and Research visa route.

You will have a track record of research publications and strong academic writing skills, with experience contributing to research outputs and study development. You will be confident in administering and interpreting standardised neuropsychological assessments and communicating findings effectively.
You will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute positively to the research environment.
