We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
We are looking for a suitably qualified dentist for the post of Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry. You will be required to become actively involved in the teaching and research programmes of the School. In research, you will be expected to contribute to existing research activity in one of our current research themes (translational oral biosciences, applied oral health care or dental education), developing towards independence as a researcher. In teaching, you will be expected to contribute to academic and clinical teaching on our undergraduate clinical BDS and BSc courses and our developing portfolio of postgraduate courses. In addition, appropriately qualified candidates will have the opportunity to undertake clinical work in the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation trust.
The University has developed an Academic Job Summary Guidance document which summarises the range of activities that academic staff may be expected to perform.
