Deputy Academic Registrar (Maternity Cover)

NSPC (New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling)

The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) is looking for an experienced Deputy Academic Registrar to join our registry team for approximately 15 months, covering maternity leave.

NSPC is a small, friendly postgraduate school based at the Existential Academy in West Hampstead, London. We offer doctoral, masters and professional training programmes in psychotherapy, counselling psychology, coaching, pastoral care, autism and neurodivergence, delivered in academic partnership with Middlesex University.

As Deputy Academic Registrar, you will look after course planning for our students. That includes preparing individual course plans, handling changes to students' programmes, and keeping accurate records of their progress. You will liaise with Middlesex University on student records and enrolment.

We are looking for someone with solid experience of academic registry or student records work in higher education. You'll need excellent attention to detail and a calm, supportive way of working with students. Experience of working with a partner university, or on postgraduate and professional programmes, would be a real advantage.

Contract: 0.8, fixed term for approximately 15 months, starting December 2026 or as soon as possible after that.

Salary: Grade 6, £37,357 to £40,441 pro rata (£29,886 to £32,353 actual).

Location: In person at the Existential Academy, West Hampstead, with some flexibility for remote working.
