The School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint to the post of Senior Lecturer / Lecturer Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Optometry to contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and knowledge exchange in the Department of Allied Health Professions in the School of Health & Life Sciences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the emerging Teesside University Centre for Community Eye Health, developing innovative approaches to education, clinical practice, and community outreach. You will play a key role in improving access to eye care, reducing health inequalities, and delivering meaningful impact for patients, students, and local communities.
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. You will be involved in both uni professional (Optometry) and inter and multi professional activity across the department. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder.
