About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Academic Registry team at Health Sciences University (HSU) as an Academic Governance Administrator.
This role sits within the University's Academic Governance function and plays a key part in supporting the operation of academic committees, academic policies and regulations, and student governance processes including academic appeals, complaints and student conduct matters. The postholder will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to ensure effective governance arrangements that uphold academic standards and enhance the student experience.
Working closely with the Assistant Academic Registrar (Academic Governance), Academic Registrar and colleagues across the University, you will help coordinate committee activity, support policy review processes, administer student casework, and contribute to the smooth running of Academic Registry services. The role also provides opportunities to be involved in key institutional activities such as enrolment and graduation.
About the person
We are looking for an organised and proactive administrator with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing high-quality administrative support within higher education or a similar professional environment. They will be confident managing multiple priorities, working to deadlines and maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Experience of committee administration, including minute taking, and working with policies and procedures is essential.
You will also have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across a range of professional and academic teams. Knowledge of higher education administration, student record systems or student casework processes would be advantageous.
