About this role

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Reward team as a Reward Consultant, providing maternity cover within the wider Talent team in People Services.

You will support the delivery of our Reward strategy by helping to develop and implement reward and benefit schemes that attract, retain and motivate employees. You will also lead the operational delivery of the University’s job design and evaluation activity, helping to ensure roles are designed and assessed fairly and consistently.

Reporting to the Reward Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across People Services and project teams throughout the University on reward, benefits and job evaluation activities.

About you

You will have:

  • Experience and knowledge of reward systems, policies and practices.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to change and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and use evidence to inform decisions.
  • An understanding of job design and job evaluation principles. Previous practical experience is not essential.
  • A collaborative and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support an inclusive culture where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Project management experience and familiarity with data and benchmarking survey platforms would be advantageous.

Further information

This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity-cover post, working 37 hours per week until the postholder returns. Salary offers follow the University’s salary assessment guidelines.
